She made her a wonderful princess hat with glitter and hydrangeas and sister would have NONE of it :(
So let's see... Some stats and what not..
Weight 31 lbs 2 oz (93%)
Height : 35.5" (88%)
Head : 49 cm (89%)
Wearing : Size 2T in most things and her tiny feet are finally growing! She was in infant shoes forever but since starting to walk her feet are growing a size every month and I think she is now in a 5.
Words : Momma, Bubba, Cookie ( which I think she means Ralphie) , Thank you ( she says this ALOT) and she tries to sing Twinkle Twinkle all day every day. oh and " Good Job" she says that a lot to herself when she does something well. She does lots of kisses all the time in a very dramatic with a loud kiss noise and puckered face that is so cute. She loves to say " Hi" in this very cute voice. When all the workers were in the house she was telling them " HI" every 30 seconds when they walked in and out of the room.
Interests : She loves music and dancing, cleaning things. She especially loves a wipe or a wet rag and walks around wiping her face, or other people or the floor, etc. She loves bath time, but not pools. She is now enjoying the iPad but just pushing things and looking, not really playing any games/apps. She LOVES drawing/markers etc. She doesn't care much for TV but she does love baby Einstein DVDs and starts squealing and dancing when i turn one on.
Food : She is becoming more picky lately. Makes me so nervous because I really wanted her to have better eating habits than Fenn. She does not seem to have texture issues, but will only eat what she wants. She enjoys Buffalo pretzels like her brother, and all pastas and carbs. She will eat most fruits, loves any and all yogurt, any mash pack, and usually she will eat anything Rose tries to feed her. She loves Rose's curry.
Personality : BUSY! Sassy! Independent, dramatic, outspoken, loves people and just being out and about. She , like her brother, has never suffered from separation anxiety. She always recognizes familiar places like mothers day out or the play place and kicks and squeals with anticipation when we drive up.
Teeth : I don't think she has room for anymore teeth in that mouth! I feel like she has had all her teeth for a long time.
Health : She is pretty healthy. She has not gotten sick in a long time, but she has definitely experienced more sickness at this age than Fenn did. Her stomach virus about did us all in last fall. ( twice!) but luckily when she is sick, she acts pretty normal other than whatever symptoms she has. She has had lots of ear infections as well but none recently. She still has dry skin issues like I did as a kid and gets these small bumps all over that are all over her legs and arms. :(.
Nicknames : SISTER, Sister Sue, Booty Pot ( coined by Fenn which means beauty pot)
Sleep : Sister is a good sleeper! Thankfully! She goes to bed about 6:30-7pm and wakes up about 6:30-7am. Sometimes she wakes up at 5:30am and I just let her play and sing in her bed as long as possible :)
Life is so different with a 2nd baby and working all the time so I feel like I have not taught sister as much as I did Fenn at her age. When he was 2 he was completely silent but like my sidekick that I shared all my crafts and cooking with. Sister is the opposite, she is loud and making noise 24-7, and very VERY independent. She is not so interested in what I am doing or taking instruction and learning.
I broke out the " Kitchen Helper" ( that wooden thing she stands in) today so that I can start trying to cook with her like I did when Fenn was 2. She was interested mildly in the cooking, and loved licking the batter. She LOVED playing in the sink. I had to drag her away from there kicking and screaming. ( Brother has a tough time sharing his spotlight and roles with her. )
She has recently really hit that " Terrible Two's " Stage where she shows out ALOT. She cries and SCREAMS as loud as she can and get mad and has these epic fits which are pretty funny if your ears can handle it. Foot stomping, throwing lashing out etc. and as of late towards the end of her fits she will bite her own toe! ha and then hollers out like someone else did it. It can wear you out or make you laugh, depending on the circumstances.
She is finally starting to play on her own better. She mostly always wants someone around talking and interacting with her 24-7. Lately she has been playing with dolls and such. It's very cute and I can't figure out how she knows to feed the baby a bottle or cover them up.
I find it Ironic that we moved with Fenn when he was 2 and now we moved again when sister turned 2. She didn't miss a beat, slept fine in her new room and loves the stairs in the new house. Thankfully my blog turned real life friend Laura May taught me about kids and stairs ( and really just a lot about being a good momma in general.Watching her with her 3 was inspiring). Nonie and CC taught sister how to do stairs well and she says " good job" for each stair as she slides down on her booty.
I love this stage of baby where everyone is hitting their stride and enjoying life and able to interact and communicate. She is so dang cute right now and I am excited for the next few years now that I know what to expect.. or what I think to expect anyway! ha
Sister always keeps me on my toes!
Happy Birthday Sister!! xoxo
