Grizas... Ilatch and an update..

WOW .. things have really been busy with my case design. I can not remember what all I have told you guys so far.  After the success of the ilatch, I decided to start a company just for designing electronic cases for kids. I have 2 more designs in my Fall '11 Lineup that I will be announcing to you guys now. ( everything is patent and trademark protected fyi).

The iKid. It is a foam case for the ipad with a home key protection flap and easy grip handles on the sides. Comes in several colors. Will be available in Dec. It is pretty rad awesome! Offers shock absorption, is easy to get the ipad in and out for parents, fun to look at.... The list goes on and on!

New Logo is above. I will be doing some advertising soon, and am in the works with several retailers, (some are major) so there is a lot of stuff going on but nothing in stone yet so I hesitate to really mention it all.

Either way, I can say that I am glad I did this. It has been much more work, and much more expensive getting started that I ever thought it would be, but I have learned ALOT in this process and feel really proud of my designs and getting them out into the world.
If you guys ever have ideas, suggestions or complaints about current cases that you wish to see fixed, Let me know!

I am doing my best not to beat you guys down on the blog, twitter, or in person talking about all of this stuff with Grizas, but I am excited and its really hard not to talk about it! ha Please be patient with me while getting this off the ground.

Oh, and a word on the haters. When I first started I got kind of verbally attacked by some folks , and I took it very personally. It hurt my feelings and honestly made me want to quit. I could not understand why people would go out of their way to attack a stranger or be so mean.
Recently mom mom sent me a link to this haters site for the Pioneer Woman and I was just SHOCKED. I mean.... a whole site... dedicated to people who don't like her blog?! really? All I can say is they must be a sad, and BORED bunch of jokers to waste their time in such a pathetic way. But it made it easier for me to be more objective about the Grizas thing and see that some people, are just mean.. for no reason and I should not pay one bit of attention to it, and I won't from here on out. Perspective is a beautiful thing!

So thank you all for your support and well wishes! I will keep you posted on my progress and hopefully get to do some fun giveaways soon!

I also wanted to say that alot of you have asked me about this process because you have an invention you are interested in pursuing, and I would like to recommend this book
The Mom Inventors Handbook
This explains to you how to find manufacturers, approach retail stores..  get patents.. It is literally a handbook and is really helpful for anyone interested in this process, mom or not.

You are so creative and have been motivated to turn your "I wish I had..." idea into a reality after much work, investment and time. Yay for you:) Now I just need to get an iPad so I can get a ilatch for Baby Britton. My sister would be wild over the iKid after having her two year old drop her iPad several times. Keep up the wonderful work, Grizas!!!

This is SO exciting and inspiring :-) You've done some pretty amazing things and most moms (and dads!) out there wouldn't know where to start with creating a product like the iLatch. Good for you!

And who on earth has the time or energy to create a site specifically dedicated to how much they hate another person/site? Talk about some negative vibes!

Well I'm a hater, I hate how awesome this is and how well you're doing and am going to do at it. Why can't I think of cool stuff like this and take the leap to get it off the ground? Gosh! Congrats though, this is totally awesome. The Smith's are Jealous.

Girl, sign me up for an ikid!! My niece drives me CRAZY wanting to "play game! play game!" But, she hits the stupid home button all the time, THEN screams her head off bc she turned off the game. You have one sold.

Awesome job!! All of your hard work is going to pay off!! You have also inspired me to go get that book! I have a few ideas floating around that I would like to try out!!
