Weekend In Review: Linzy In Town!

One of my best friends from Auburn came to visit this past weekend! Linzy and her man friend Adam flew up from South Florida to meet Peebs and go to the Avett Brothers Concerts. We had a great weekend with them! Peebs loved Linz and the dogs loved Adam. They kept him company ALL weekend.

Then Saturday, We discovered this mess in our basement. Our house was built 1927 and our basement is scary, in a Silence of the Lambs type way. BLEHK.  I called our trusty plumber James, and he came over to diagnose the problem and came back today to fix.
Unfortch it was a big pipe, big leak, and deep in concrete so it took all day and no tellin how much its gonna cost. YIKES! He dug a hole in our basement that went all the way outside into the driveway.
Ralph and Floss loved seeing him because he always brings treats from his truck for them. He is also very patient with them and all their barking and shenanigans.
Peebs was kind of a beast on Saturday, ALL.DAY.LONG. Lately he has been fussy which is not his style, so  I am baffled. I have been trying to trace my diet and see if it has anything to do with that because I cant think of anything else it could be. He has also not been sleeping as well as he normally does.. dang!

Growth spurt bunny! Don't get discouraged, they don't last long. The teething thing will haunt you for the next 3 years so don't make it your excuse. Growth spurt around 3weeks, 6 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, ect... S just had her 6 month 2 weeks early and I was sure it was teeth but here we are with fat pink gums, no sign of teeth and back to sleeping like a college student! Be strong and can't wait to see ya'll in a few weeks!

I'm so sorry to hear about the plumbing, and coming from a house in Birmingham, that wasn't as old as yours, but was built in 1950, I understand. But get this, the new house in Auburn, built in 2001, has plumbing problems. I've already had the plumber out here to dig up the front yard and put in a pressure reducing valve, because there wasn't one originally put in. My brother in Houston has a brand new townhouse and has had plumbing and electrical problems. I thought new was better????? Maybe we should all just go back to renting!

When it comes to cribs, new is definately not better.
People today do cheap, fast work.

James is old school and does old school quality work!

Basement gonna look better after this cause its caused me to clean it up a lot!
