Baby Product Feedback:

FYI: Here are some things we have that I think would be helpful for you guys to know about.

I HATE this Arm & Hammer Diaper pail $34. It does not block odor and it is hard to open and close. Basically its a piece and I hope none of you have one! ha If you have a different brand you like please leave me a comment!

I randomly saw these  Tommee Tippee Bibs $6 laying around in BRU and thought they were such an awesome invention. MY PB is an aggressive eater, be it boob or bottle and always has drippage, which rolls into his little neck rolls and takes some work getting it all cleaned up cause Momma hates the milk smell! So this bib basically has a foamy collar that absorbs all that non sense!  The ONLY problem is PB 's neck is too wide so I cant fasten them. LOL. I am sure that wont be an issue for anyone else's booboo. They come in plain color, blue trim or pink trim and I think are really cute! Would be perfect for monogramming!
We have the Summer Infant Best View Video Monitor, and that thing wasn't cheap! I am pretty disappointed in it. I read tons of reviews, and it seems that people who like the internet hate this monitor but people who are not too wired don't have any problems with it. Our wireless network causes interference ( I guess) because it lags, says " out of range ' when its not even far from the base, and the screen quality is crappy.  So I can't decide if the monitor is no good, or just not the right one for us, but I am seriously considering returning it and trying a different one. Any suggestions or feedback?
On another note, I LOVE having a video monitor so that I can see what he is doing without getting up and going in to check on him. I can make sure he has not busted out of his swaddle or see if he is moving or sleeping good etc. I can even pan the room and see if the dogs are in there! ha

Thank you for posting this! We have to do one last run to BRU and pick up the things we still need (our baby girl is due on Saturday) and reading your reviews is super helpful.

Too bad that you're having issues with that monitor. We have it and it has been great overall. The only time we run into problems is when we are with my brother's family, who also has one. They seem to interfere with one another. You should call them at least and talk to them, I've found their CS to be pretty good.

hey girl! we have the same summer monitor and it totally messes up our wireless :( our solution is to just leave the handheld portion off while we are still up and using the internet. I'll just turn it on every 30 min or so to take a quick look in at him. then we turn it on when we go to bed. and I agree with you--I LOVE being able to look at him!! so fun!

for diaper pails, we got the diaper champ which you can get at target, BRU, etc. I love it bc it's really simple to use AND it takes regular garbage bags instead of specific ones for the pail. It can get sort of stinky if you don't change it every 4 days or so, but think about what's being put in there! no wonder! haha! i bought some A&H baking soda oder absorber things and I drop one in the bottom and I also spray the pail with lysol when I change the bag. that seems to help!

We have the Summer Infant Slim and Secure Monitor and love it. The microwave is the only thing it interferes with, ha! Also, the diaper Champ is working for us...take regular garbage bags and we empty it twice a week...so far.

I need that Tommee Tippee bib, totally buying on those! Glad it works...maybe you could make one for Fenn.

Good reviews here LG!

Yikes, I gave you the diaper pail-sorry!! ;)
As far as the monitor, we have one too and love it, but ours doesn't pan the room-maybe that us part of the prob?? With the interference...

I have the same monitor and it works fine for us. I did have to reset or reconnect when I first opened it. Maybe try doing that so it won't interfere with your wifi.
I love how it pans the room! Especially nice when Ben moves in the crib and I need to move it without going in the room and bothering him.
We don't have it on all the time, only when need it. And I have noticed some problems if I have the monitor close or in the same room as the camera. Works better farther away.

We just have a trash can with a lid, nothing special. Since he's on breastmilk, no odor so far Plus with our "anal" personalities we empty it frequently anyway.

I use the Diaper Genie Elite II pail. It has a foot lever to lift the lid, which makes it easy when your holding the baby and throwing away his diapers. I do put the little Arm & Hammer disk in the bottom. I change is pail out at least twice a week just depending on how many dirty diapers go in. To me it seems to not smell if I keep it changed often. Hope that helps:)

What's a BRU?

I believe that I have a diaper genie in my garage that I forgot to put in my last garage sale. I haven't used it in a year or so but I liked it when I did. Let me know if you want it. :)

the diaper genie works great! It smells when you open it, but when it's closed, you can't smell anything. You do have to buy the special bag things that go with it, but it's worth it.
