Randomosity and Crow for Breakfast.

I am stealing Susannah's word ( randomosity) to cover a few misc. topics in this post.

First of all, I would like to ask you guys if any of you has a great suggestion for dish rags? Mine are terrible, not very absorbent and shrank a lot after washing them. They look kind of nasty too. I don't know why but they are like socks, you don't replace them near as much as you should, considering they are inexpensive and all.  So pls comment if you have a brand you would endorse!

Next up, I feel like I have to say sorry for the Baby overload on the blog. That is something I never wanted to do, or be like ( talking about a baby non stop) because I found that exhausting from others before I had a kid. But here I am, talking about it non stop, and I can't even help myself.
So I apologize for those of you who are on baby overload, but until I am able to do other things besides be a baby buffett and sleep, this blog will be mostly about baby and iphone.
Truth be told, I am a giant walking cliche, doing everything I said I never would do. This baby has turned me into the biggest hypocrit of all time and I imagine that will just keep on happening, and humbling me over and over. HA such is life......

With that being said, I know I have quite a few readers who are currently pregnant, and also some who are already mommas or interested in becoming one. Will you all take a minute to vote in my polls in the margins to help me gather some information? Thanks!!

I like reading all of your posts no matter what they are about!!! Bring on the baby posts, I love reading them! and like you said, it's hard not to when they take up your life 24/7 like little baby dino is now! You'll get a little bit of your life back at some point! ha! Just enjoy every second of him cause they grow up so fast!!!

As far as dishtowels go... has anyone tried the ones that food network makes? I like they way they look and I see a lot of ppl buying them at Kohl's but I haven't tried them out yet...

Crow...you never knew it tasted so sweet did ya? I'm loving the blog...what else would you be doing but loving that little buddy? Ya know? He's a cute snuggle bunny and I appreciate watching him grow.

I heart William & Sonoma dish rags...last forever, but will stain...spray n' wash and it's all good though. Dish towels are a sore subject with me though...heh, heh. (inside joke)

My how things change when one becomes a Momma ;) I once was baffled by why a choice of music made a difference with children. I love music...but when Alton would repeat some ugly words he heard while Daddy listened to Outkast and then repeat them in the most perfect places...nice humble pie I would have to eat. Never in a MILLION years did I think my tv would only be on Noggin...sigh. Makes me think maybe I am that lame, fuddy dud mom that I never thought I'd be. Oh well, it happens... :)

No help on the dish rag front. I bought some cheapos at Target and they look like crap now, but they're more absorbent than my "pretty" ones.

I personally LOVE your baby posts. Maybe I'm alone...but I've always loved babies so I'm content to read about them all day long. I've heard you write best about what you know - right now, you know babies. Makes sense that you'd write about Fenn. Whatever makes YOU happy. (So long as you post pictures of him. haha)

I really love dishtowels. They are so soft & absorbent yet slightly rough so they really get my face clean after I eat.
I have no use for weak paper towels.

Oh and post lots of Fenn pics because he's the cutesy baby in all the lands. ;-)

Kibbs love baby posts!! We have William Sonoma dish towels and have had some for years. They do stain but easily come clean and come in those hard to resist cute packs that just say buy me when you go to the store so we have tons.

I like williams sonoma towels, but they are pricey.

I love the baby talk! Write whatever you want. It's YOUR blog!!

Honestly, my favorite dishtowels came from IKEA of all places! They are made out of flour sacks and are super absorbent. You can dry a glass with them and it will be completely dry, no tiny wet marks on it. Love them and need to get more! Oh, and I did your survey on the right. Done and done.

I too dig WS dishtowels-also Walmart ones-just ugly junky ones for cleaning up crap.

It's okay to be a hypocrite if it's about a baby. :D Things change, and it's okay!

I enjoy everything about your blog!
I too hate my dish towels so I'm glad you blogged on that cause I am going to use some of the advice from comments for myself. Guess WS is coming out the best!

You know I have no kids and know zero about kids, but I love reading your blogs about Fenn or whatever else you blog about. I like that you are totally honest about it all--no sugar coating!

Since I wash the dishes at the soon to be Smith house this is a topic I know about. Right now I'm using some from Khol's that work really well. I think they are Khol's brand, they haven't shrank, and are still absorbent after a few years. We did just get some that all match from Bed Bath and Beyond, but I haven't been allowed to use them yet. I don't like the softer dish towels because they seem to leave lint.

ha! I voted that I was pregnant. NOT pregnant - I read it as I've been pregnant before. lol. I was a total baby blog - babies are all consuming and honestly that's the way it should be. for a while anyway.

Dishcloths - used some 3 different summers at a cottage we rented up north and loved them - terry on one side, mesh on the other. Found some like it at JC Penney, not sure of the brand, one of their store brands, I think. They are good because they are bound on the edges, not hemmed. I have a "thing" about bound dishcloths and washcloths and they are slowly becoming extinct, grrr!

I enjoy your blog even though I am old enough to be your baby's granny and I am not very tech-savvy, either. I can't remember how I found your blog - maybe a link to a modge-podged file cabinet??? :-)
