My One Week Later... MUST HAVES

You know when I was pregnant, I spent all those months planning cute things like nursery decor and baby clothes, and not much time planning the not so fun but much needed things for later like nursing gear. In fact, I have zero thought or planning for nursing and have been running around all week in this awful heat on a quick schedule to gather up the much needed supplies. I have learned a whole lot, which I do plan to share here, in depth later, but for now... I will leave you with this advice pregnant ladies:

" plan and shop for your nursing supplies before giving birth, boobies need a lot more maintenance than you realize!"

**Also I wanna say that at the top of the home page, i have several tabs, one of which is for pregnancy/baby and I have links and lists there for those of you that are interested.**

Simple Wishes Hands Free Pumping Bustier $30 from Pea in the Pod. Ladies... this is a GAME CHANGER. I didnt know this but to pump you gotta hold these things up for 15 minutes straight which is not only boring and inconvienent but gives you a wicked back ache. This little contraption offers support and holds the cups in place so you can do other things in that 15 minutes like text or hold your baby etc.

Post Partum Panties $12 from Pea in the Pod. Sold other places too but cost more. These are working wonders on my "leftovers" because they have a built in girdle. Seeing is believing, Wait till you see my next belly pic!

Medela Contact Nipple Shield $7 from Diapers dot com. This is great to have in case your baby is a dino piggy baby like mine and really gets after it. You will want something to help you avoid any pain, just trust me on this and I will spare you the details. Get one, and dont open it and that way you will have it around if you need it, but you can return it if you dont.

The bassinet portion of our stroller. Another new mom told me about this tip and I am so thankful I listened. We hang out in the living room all day, where the TV is and where people are who visit and this is his portable bed. Notice the sleep sheep attached to the handle bar, and the cup holder holds lots of pacifiers for easy access. His diaper caddy is in the basket underneath the bassinet so I have all his diapering needs right there at arms reach, and I can easily grab the stroller and pull it to me with one hand while holding the baby. Its just fantastic. **TIP**if you live in Nashville, the Essex @ Rivergate has a grey Uppa Baby Vista stroller system for $400 ( $300 off retail).

Medela Quick Clean Steam Bags $5- Forget boiling and all that jazz. you just throw all your bottles, pump parts and paci's in these bags, add 1/4 cup of water and microwave for 1 minute 30 seconds and they get steam cleaned! Pretty awesome, specially in the middle of the night.

I have sooooo many more items to talk about and stuff but I just don't have the time to get it all done in one post. Will be back for that later.
Please leave comments with your must have items or secret finds! Thanks!

Ok my question is who in the hells stomach looks that good in the bustier after birthing a baby!! I bet it is handy though cause when I pumped I just had to sit on the couch and hold em. I can't wait to see those panties. I may need some of those now!

I love and agree with all of these! That bra would've come in handy for me-I am getting that joker next time!

LG-I got a handsfree bra today and the panties. I can't believe I didn't have either for Jackson! These panties are freakin awesome. Mark thinks they are ridiculous and can't stop laughing. I told him unless he wants a big floppy belly to look at forever, he better grin and bear it. I will be trying the bra tomorrow!
