36 Week Update!

A picture really is worth 1,000 words, and this one, even though it was taken over the 4th weekend is pretty much how I feel every day now; uncomfortable and shifting around a lot. (Shout out to momma Cary for capturing this lovely moment).

Last Week, I broke down and went to Motherhood Maternity in Cool Springs mall with CB to purchase a few more BIGGER sized maternity clothes because I only had like 2 things that currently fit. It was the last thing I wanted to do, but necessary. That green dress you see above is a regular people dress from Old Navy that I have about worn out. Wish I had purchased it in more than one color. ( it is in black below).
These other dresses were $20 from Motherhood. Not exactly super sexy and stylish but they are comfortable, and cover all the right areas and can also be worn as a nightgown. ha They look cuter with fun jewelry. (I wear huge turquoise earrings& gold sandals with the purple one.)

So today is 36 weeks completed for me! Fenn will be full term on the 21st. I can not believe its almost time to meet him. I can tell you this though, the reason God gives you 9 months of pregnancy is because after 9 months, and once you get this big and stuff, you are no longer scared of giving birth because you are just SO READY to be not pregnants.  I try not to think too much about it, but I am so ready to get him here, that I am not scared anymore. He is moving a lot still but its different, bigger slower movements that are kinda painful for me. He feels very long in there.

I am not that hungry these days, and I think that is because there is not enough room in there for food anymore. I have really been enjoying Jello Chocolate Pudding cups real cold. However, I did manage to gain 3 lbs in the last 2 weeks! ( up to 43lbs now)

The front of my stomach is SO HEAVY now. I am pretty much just hanging on the couch these days. I may do one thing a day, like go to the grocery store. If Erik is working I generally do not leave the house! Kinda pathetic ha but its hard work getting this big old bod around town in the heat, and it still causes a lot of commotion with the general public. We had people stop us several times yesterday to ask if I was gonna have my baby in the store.

Yesterday was my Doc Appt. which turned out to be rather encouraging. He said that Fenn had completely dropped,  I was 70% effaced and 1 cm dialated! WooHOO so that was exciting to me because that means my body is preparing for him.  Doesn't necc mean I will go into labor soon, but it is a possibility. At first I got really excited, but after reading online a lot I realized that is not too big of a deal.* dang.*
I also told him about how everyone on Facebook assured me Doc measurements for babies was hardly ever right , and was he really all that sure that Fenn was a big baby and he said, YES, he is for sure a BIG baby. He also said we go in next week for another Ultrasound to check his size, IF he doesn't come before then!

You look fantastic! I'm sorry you're so uncomfortable. I know it must be so hard in this heat. But hey, at least you're looking great. :) I think the dresses are really cute.

you're so super cute!

I was 80% effaced, 1 cm dialated when I was induced. It went super quick b/c I was! Supposedly sex helps to further efface you but who wants to do that? Hah!

Fenners is going to be here any day now! I AM SO EXCITED for you!

Hang in there!

I have been eye-ing that Old Navy dress, and they are completely sold out of it here! You've confirmed my suspicions! It's adorable!

Oh my! You look good and pitiful at the same time. Nice candid shot!
It will all be a very distant memory soon... hard to believe, but all the misery I went through just doesn't seem so bad anymore.

I'm thinking Fenn will be a July baby!!! You're almost there. It will be totally worth the wait and discomfort. :)

BTW, don't forget about eggplant parmesean from Carabba's (not on the menu, but they apparently make it for very pregnant ladies often). It's worked for a couple friends...
