Updates To Our Master Bedroom!

I have been working on a few changes to our master bedroom lately, mostly because I spend a lot more time in here than I used to! I saw on a blog post a while back these yellow lamps that really set the room off and have wanted some ever since. I finally found a set, at heaven on earth TJMAXX/Homegoods. Truth be told, I probably needed them to be a smidge taller but I could not return them because I loved them too much! They really bring out the yellow in the curtains we made last fall!


The other update was some new pillowcases and shams. I still really love the all white bedding look, I stole that idea from Mrs. Norma's playbook. I think it makes things look so fresh and neat. Plus I am religious about washing all our bedding and using clorox to keep it clean and dust mite free and that's a lot easier with white bedding. I have lusted after this bedding in Restoration Hardware for probably 5 years, but I just cant bring myself to spend that kind of cash on bedding, especially with 2 dog children who "cosleep".
Pottery Barn now has lots of runner up ideas and I chose the Morgan Bedding one. I only ordered pillowcases since I use a cheap poly-fil Wally World Duvet for a bedspread ( because I can wash it weekly and it never bunches up and if I ruin it, it was only $30!).
I noticed in our recent travels that in Hotel world, they use 6 standard sized pillows on King Size Beds, instead of King size pillows. I loved that idea and compromised with 3 standard back pillows and 2 king size pillows/shams on the front. Pregnant ladies need lots of pillows!



Next up on the project list is to modge podge those doggle stairs so they look cute in there!

girl, pull that duvet down when you have fenn on your bed. cooper is a geyser of pee and poo. i finally pulled the comforter off the bed just so I'm not washing it everyday.

Looks great! I'm jealous! I want my kitchen, then can hopefully move on to the rest of this house. Getting REALLY tired of the old collage furniture throughout!
I love that piece you ahve above the bed. Where did you get it???
