Updates To Our Master Bedroom!

I have been working on a few changes to our master bedroom lately, mostly because I spend a lot more time in here than I used to! I saw on a blog post a while back these yellow lamps that really set the room off and have wanted some ever since. I finally found a set, at heaven on earth TJMAXX/Homegoods. Truth be told, I probably needed them to be a smidge taller but I could not return them because I loved them too much! They really bring out the yellow in the curtains we made last fall!

The other update was some new pillowcases and shams. I still really love the all white bedding look, I stole that idea from Mrs. Norma's playbook. I think it makes things look so fresh and neat. Plus I am religious about washing all our bedding and using clorox to keep it clean and dust mite free and that's a lot easier with white bedding. I have lusted after this bedding in Restoration Hardware for probably 5 years, but I just cant bring myself to spend that kind of cash on bedding, especially with 2 dog children who "cosleep".
Pottery Barn now has lots of runner up ideas and I chose the Morgan Bedding one. I only ordered pillowcases since I use a cheap poly-fil Wally World Duvet for a bedspread ( because I can wash it weekly and it never bunches up and if I ruin it, it was only $30!).
I noticed in our recent travels that in Hotel world, they use 6 standard sized pillows on King Size Beds, instead of King size pillows. I loved that idea and compromised with 3 standard back pillows and 2 king size pillows/shams on the front. Pregnant ladies need lots of pillows!

Next up on the project list is to modge podge those doggle stairs so they look cute in there!
