Dr. Visit #2 : Baby Griza 13 weeks.

Tight Shirt Shot:

Regular shirt shot:

I had my 2nd Doctors appt last week, where he read blood work results and we heard the heart beat. It lasted all of 5 minutes. I seem to be anemic, but no worries I have pills for that now.
I had gained 3.6 lbs which makes 8.5 lbs total for the last 3 months. Not too bad, however it will be interesting to see how that goes in the next few months, since booboo griza will be growing now.
I have been feeling pretty much almost all the way normal, except for occasional head or back aches and the wearing of maternity pants every day. Best.Invention.Ever. I may just wear them for the rest of my life.
I have never in my life ( before now) experienced a bra leaving indentions in my skin, which is new and strange. I also worked a very long time to ween myself from dairy products, especially milk, which is all in all a disgusting phenomenon, and now I drink it every day. I think that is my only taste bud reversal. Also, this week I have eaten about 65 mangos, and so much sour candy that the inside of my mouth is raw.
We made some progress this week in cleaning out the nursery but it is still very much a work in progress. Pictures of that soon!
I am also considering paying for a gender ultrasound this month. If I wait for my doc, he wont tell me until April 2nd and I just don't know if I can wait that long. I feel like knowing the gender might make this more "real". How far along were any of you moms out there when you found out?

Cute pic Laura! Your bump is coming along quite nicely!! Dude you should totally WAIT on the gender ultrasound!! If you find out now it will seem like you are pregnant forever!! I found at at 18 weeks and it was like a nice halfway point for me! But I can say that had I been given the option to find out early, I probably would have...Ha! Im excited to see nursery pics and I will send you some this week (we got our stroller and car seat and they are cute!!!) oK BYE!

You look great! Try to wait till the doc tells you, it's about 99% guaranteed vs something else. And it will seem like you are preg forever if you find out early. I was 21 weeks.
Love you!!

I think I was 18 weeks with Madison and 20 with Abigail. It won't be too much longer to wait girl!

I was 17 weeks when I found out. Also, I know Virginia COllege here teaches Ultrasound techs, and they always need practice and they do the u/s for free and you only have to pay for the pics, so you may want to look into something like that??

Lookin' good! Can't wait to see how the nursery turns out. I think I was 19 weeks when we found out we were having a girl. Once I found out, I would go be the the subject for all of the ultra sound students to practice on. A local college has that major. I would get free, hour long visits with my baby. I recommend it! It's free and a great way for you to see the babe as much as possible!!

I found out at 19 weeks. I think you should find out early if possible. Your pregnancy will be longer but I think it's more special when you know what it is and have a name. Then you can talk to him/her by name which is way more of a connection then baby T (in my case).

BTW your bump looks good! Not to big not to small!!

I drank a gallon of milk a week during pregnancy and craved fruit ALL the time (which is not normal for me). Some people say fruit is a "baby girl" craving. Just fyi... Don't forget to drink LOTS of water... that milk helped me get some awesome kidney stones.

I'm a little late on commenting, but I found out with Aiden at like 14 or 15 weeks and with Logan at the latest it was about 16 weeks... We have the option of doing the 4D ultra sound also and that was done later, around 20 - 24 weeks maybe... I guess it just depends on the Doctor and the practice... seems like everyone else was way later...
