Recovering The Dining Room Chairs

I've been showing lots of pictures, but not talking about the process enough , so to answer all of my emails, texts and twitters I will give that info today. Below are the tools you need to recover a chair seat.
  • Fabric (upholstery fabric)
  • Screwdriver or drill
  • Staple gun
  • Scissors
Now rather than explain it all, I have 2 links to some "How To Videos" and will say its a lot like wrapping a present. The fabric is your wrapping paper and the staple gun is your tape.

6 of the chairs look like this:
and the 2 end chairs look like this:
It has been raining for days, so lets cross our fingers that I can get that last chair painted today!
Then I used the leftover fabric to make some pillows for the couch. My trick for pillows is that when I see them on clearance or in a dollar store, no matter how ugly I buy them and then use them as the inserts when I make my own pillows.

Fabrics Used were from
Cinnabar Blossom
Devin Film ( mine was not the noir color)

Beee-utiful! I shall have to buy some ugly pillows and save them for you to make me pretty ones. DO you use a sewing maching to do your pillows? I guess so, huh. I don't have one and wouldn't know how to use it anyway!
