Some greenery would add a little something to it and maybe some big & tall funky candle holders to add a little height?
Looks pretty naked.
I am not qualified to give interior decorating advice!! Needs some love though, definitely. I think some bobblehead Erik and Laura and doggles would be pretty rad

my mantle looked virtually the same! same round thing on the wall above too. a couple of days ago i added a flower arrangement to one side and a few colorful plates to the other. reading this as i type sounds bad. but it looks good. i am always a fan of a collections of thick candles at various heights too.
I think a couple of candlesticks of varying heights/widths on one side would help and then maybe a taller vase on the other side.
