Poor Tubby! Did He Deserve it?

Vote on the sidelines. I feel sorry for the dude.

***UPDATE****
Someone from the Radio station at AU suggested I listen to this
where Tub's firing was discussed, and the coaches wives called in. Apparently they were all fired! So sad. Dang Auburn! ****** also listen BEFORE 4pm when it will be taken down

McCombs... you not gonna comment on Tubby?

I think it's crappy, but he'll be alright. I'd walk away for $6M too!

He had a choice to fire his 'buddies' and get new ones and HE chose to not do that and leave. It was HIS choice (Auburn just put his feet to the fire). Just a business decision... When you take emotion out of it..it was the best call for the school. Auburn was headed for 4 or 5 seasons like this last one.

I don't think it was right. I mean, you go 84-40 in 10 years, 5-2 in bowl games, and 7-3 against Bama, and you rank 4th on Auburn's all time win percentage list.. I understand this year was bad, the worst it has been in almost a decade, and he did need to clean out his staff memebers, and the firing of Tony didn't help, but I am not a fan of yet another forced resignation...

What people need to realize is that, if the reports are accurate, Tuberville RESIGNED! I think he was extremely tired and didn't have the energy to rebuild a staff. I appreciate what he did at AU; without question my favorite AU coach. That being said, the program, including player development and recruiting, was headed in the wrong direction. This hire will need to be someone who brings energy and enthusiasm to recruiting as well as to his assistants. I am an AU man regardless. Thanks Tubbs!

If he had straight out resigned, Auburn would not have had to pay him 6 mil. That being said, I'm dissappointed in Auburn right not and I'm not sure if there is anyone out there half as good as Tubby. Remember the last time they tried to get rid of him? The next year he went undefeated and we were jipped by the BCS. It was a bad decision to try the spread offense and he admitted it, but come on, for all he has done for AU football, at least give him a chance to right the ship! Anyway, I'll bleed blue and orange regardless and welcome the new coach with open arms.

WAR EAGLE!
