Garden Progress: Final Days

We are in the last days of the summer garden. I think i will be ripping it all out and starting over,... as soon as I figure out what are good fall plants. The Basil Plant is thriving as you can see. The mint plant however, is struggling.
I pulled up all the carrots. They were growing but I didnt know waht to do with them and I think I stunted their growth with a tarp under the dirt so chalk that one up to an experiment.

Big boy is S-T-R-U-G-G-L-I-N. I think he may be dying? or he just got real thirsty.. Not sure but he is still producing constantly!

Remember when these were like 3 inches tall? Well now they are about 15" tall but kind of falling over. I need something to support them with? Ideas?

I think Elton is done growing so I picked him and will be eating him today!

ok.. i think plant stakes and twine to support your falling over plants.. or they do make tomato cages or you could make your own out of wire (i.e - chicken wire) or wire mesh...and how in the world do you not know what to plant in the fall!!! do you not remember Dr. James Brown and Organic Gardening??? the most worthwhile thing I have ever done with my life :) ... I am still looking for Mr. Pop Quiz man !!

Don't pull up the mint! It will continue to come back and to spread!
