Ralphie's Stroll

After a week hiatus of my exercising, I decided it was time to get back at it. Ralphie and Floss always BEG to go with me but being the small delicate creatures that they are, they generally get tired and want to stop and just lay in some random person's yard , which creates quite a scene as I am trying to drag them down the road and they are puttin on the brakes...
But today, because Ralphie was driving me absolutely insane with his attention needing tantrums.. I thought, I will take him and just wear him slap out so I can have some peace and get some work done.....
and about 1 mile into it... he is O-V-E-R it! I tried to explain to him why walking is good for you and he said in dog world it doesnt matter if you are fat, plus he has a better view when I hold him.... So I picked him up and kept trucking, telling myself that the extra 30 lb weights would make my work out even more productive..

as you can clearly see in these pictures... he thought this was THE.BEST.IDEA.EVER. He Loved it and I am sure we made quite the scene speed walking down the street holding a small furry creature like a child in my arms while he enjoys the breeze in his furs with his tongue out ...

Now do I get mom of the year OR WHAT?

I particularly like the way you are holding the dog..and the way it does not bother him AT ALL. I think he enjoys it.

You should get one of those things where you strap him to your chest! Ha!

You should carry Flossie too and then both of your arms will get very buff! Too bad there isn't a way to strap one to each arm somehow, like weights.

HA! The same thing, well not actually, happened to ME. I got lost on "The Yellow Trail" at Oak Mountain for 4.5 hours with my "dog" jack. He ended up passing out in the creek so he could cool down and then when I felt that he was going to have tummy rash from the dragging him through the woods, I picked him up and put him in my backpack. I have sworn OFF hiking ever again.
