Here we Go Again!

The Rash is back! No doubt because Saturday, I went to the Tanning Bed (yes, I know, spare me the lecture. But How long must I remain pasty?). Why it took more than 24 hours to show up I cant figure out. It is just as pretty as ever though! It is not as widespread as usual, which means I did something right? I used a special non -allergic lotion but the rash seems un-related to the places I applied the lotion. I must figure this out before summer! I cant stay this white forever.

(For those who don't know, i have some mystery rash that i have been struggling with for about 2 years now. It isn't as frequent now that i have realized it has something to do with sun exposure and SPF, but I still haven't figured out exactly what causes it.)

At least, thanks to Matt, I am not suffering from the whelps in my scalp! I plan to continue going to the tanning bed and trying different things until I see what keeps me from having the rash. How else will I be able to enjoy any beach trips?

Okay, have you tried sunless tanning? Like the spray tan or the lotions? I just applied my pasty self with a coat of the lotion last night. :)

I feel your pain with the skin rashes, Laura. I get them from certain soaps, laundry detergents, and even pillows or sheets. The doctors can't ever tell you what it is exactly that causes them either. You just have to figure it out for yourself.

LG, you must go to the spray on booth! Or like the comment above says, use the lotions. I think Lancome makes the best. No more tanning beds!! as you can see, it's not working out.

i have something similar on my neck as you do...does your rash itch like crazy and did it get progressively worse? Is it painful at all? This is the 4th time I have gotten this strange rash...3 times in the exact same spot on my neck and the 4th was on my face. Everytime I go to the doctors they say it's shingles. Let me know what yours is like :)

I just developed a similar rash about 4 hours after tanning on a small area on my back and a small area under my left breast. They are a little itchy but mostly painful. Was your rash like this? I have never had this before but this was the first time I used a tanning lotion. I just think its weird, yet a blessing, that I didn't develop it all over. How long did yours take to go away? I am getting married in 3 weeks!

it is possible that you are allergic to the UV Rays
