It had been a YEAR, yeah I know, Gross! But, going to the office is pretty hard. I had to mentally prepare for it, and I was so proud of myself, up to a point.
Beth did a great job on my teeth and was very understanding about how sensitive I am to hot & cold. She also gave me some neat toothpaste to fix that! Dr. Edge said I had no cavities (which was amazing b/c I have been drinking a lot of sprite lately) but the reason I have had pain in my teeth(and headaches) is b/c I am grinding them away back there and caused a crack. Since that appt. I have caught myself trying to clench my teeth, and now I am gonna have to concentrate very hard to STOP doing that.
I really thought I was doing well, then, when it was time to go, I have no idea why but I started getting very upset. I held it in till I got outside and then the second I hit the sidewalk, I burst into tears, and then some poor stranger, asked me if I was Julie "because I had really nice teeth", and I explained to her no I wasn't Julie but thanks for complimenting my teeth, and she continued to say some very nice things about Dr. Graham to me, and I continued to bawl my eyes out on the sidewalk like a completely insane person. Then I cried all the way to my car and all the way home, thinking Erik was still asleep (he wasn't) and when I took off my sunglasses at home, he saw my eyes and thought they had hurt me when I was getting my teeth cleaned. When I told him I didn't know why I was crying, he questioned my mental stability, and honestly... so did I. I don't know why this keeps happening to me.
Moving on, Erik took me to target because he knows I love target(and he probably desperately hoped it would make me stop crying like a lunatic). I love it when he goes to target with me, because he always comments on my target charges. But, when we go together he can see how easy it is to get sucked in to the target charm of bright, beautiful, unnecessary things. The dog stuff was OH SO tempting.. and we did get out with a few ridiculous things, such as an Elf outfit for Ralphie, a reindeer outfit for Flossie, and a Festive Glitter collar for each dog. ALL of these items where in the $1 section up front, but there are PLENTY more fun Christmas doggle items in the back that I will be back for! You know that dog in The Grinch that Stole Christmas? Well that is exactly how my Flossie Boss looks in her outfit. HA.. and that did cheer me up.
