We are in ATL tonight so you will have to forgive my lack of posting. I took the dogchildren to Uncle Louie's today and Ralphie was VERY upset about being separated from his momma. All was good till we got on the interstate to go North instead of South... as soon as I did that he knew what was up.(see I told ya'll he was a genius) He started crying and howling as loud as he could. I would turn the radio up to try and cover up his annoying cryings and he would just cry louder and he would look at me with the saddest of faces :( . Mind you, Flossie was chillin in the passenger seat like we were just going to McDonalds. So after about 20 mins of the crying, Ralphie then curled himself up into the smallest furry ball possible inside of my purse, with his head down in the interior pocket, pouting and stayed that way till we got off the interstate in Hendersonville, then he started up again. I asked Uncle Louie if he could sedate Ralphie this weekend so that he would forget we had left him. Flossie, again, was just bobbing along unaware or uncaring of what was going on. The most upset she got all day was when she saw a poster of a big bulldog on the door in Louie's office. She growled and scratched her feet on the ground for 10 mins straight like she was about to charge it. Then... she just went over and peed right in front of the poster...
The whole time she is doing all of this Ralphie is still howling/crying and trying as hard as he can to fight the pull of the leash and make a mad dash for the door. I know the girls at Louie's office were probably SO glad to get them out of the lobby!
Then we came to ATL. On the way we made a few inventory stops for MrsGriza.com and I am happy to say I now have some Cashmere sweaters from Jcrew and some items from the Harajuku Lovers line, as well as Ed Hardy Shirts and more Juicy Couture! Hooray!
Then a nice Mexican dinner with Lu and Julie!
Last night, however, I had to be very creative at dinner time. We have NO food in the house. It's my fault, b.c I am lazy and HATE going to the grocery store, especially when its cold outside. (Nonnie I know you are just shaking your head at my bad wife skills) BUT I did manage to make a meal from what we had in the pantry. My starch side was some sliced red potatoes and some grilled onions with a mix of jalapeno cheese! ha who knows how long we have had any of these items on hand... and Erik was more than skeptical about eating this interesting concoction, but it was actually VERY tasty... HA I didn't take a picture because it definitely was not not pretty.
I did however, take a picture of the doggy casserole I made for Ralphie & Flossie. My girls from college know this is one of my greatest talents. In school we all had dog children and I was the only cleaner of the bunch, so I would make a few Doggy Casseroles for our doggles in order to tire them out long enough so that I could clean.
If you need the recipe Holla. I will just say that my doggles watched me make it the whole time and were SO excited when I finally finished so they could eat it! I even let them eat out of my special Blue Dish. It's actually Mrs. Norma's dish from when she and Dr. G first married. Its 1960's retro blue plastic and rectangle shaped and I eat of that dish every day. I don't like for anyone else to use it! ha (see I told you I was weird about stuff)
Feast your eyes on this magnificent Doggy Casserole in the special Dish:
They definately recognized the dish so I think they thought they were eating people food! HA
